- Grocery guy at the corner
- Flat Owner
- Milk Supply guy
- NewsPaper supply person in my colony.
- They don’t use ANY FinTech app like PayTM, BHIM, PhonePe, Tez. They don’t have a smartphone too. They use a simple feature phone.
- I always pay them using a QR Code.
I know this will be your reaction too. If these people don’t use any apps or don’t have any knowledge about digital payments, then how come they accept money using QR Code.
IFSC — QR Code
PayTM, PhonePe, Tez, and almost every app bring their own QR code format. Some are compatible with other and there is no such universal QR code.
Actually, there is a way to generate Universal UPI QR code. All you need 3 information.
- Bank Account Number,
- IFSC Code.
- (optional) Account Name
With this much information, you can generate a 100% Valid UPI QR Code.
So, I create the QR code, using their Bank Details.

How to generate IFSC-UPI-QR Code

Open the Link above, fill up the account detail (Bank account number, IFSC Code) and Click “Generate QR Code”.
You will get the QR Code from bank details. I call it a Universal UPI QR code because this QR code can be generated without installing any mobile app and there is no need for any mobile number OTP verification.

Which Mobile APP support this QR Code?
Technically, All UPI apps, Like PhonePe, PayTM, BHIM, Tez, iMobile, SBI Pay and many such UPI app MUST support this QR Code. Because it is 100% Valid UPI QR Code.
We have Tested this QR Code with few apps. Some are supporting this QR Code and Some are not.
PhonePe — Supported
PayTM — Supported
BHIM — NOT Supported
We have sent the email to BHIM-NPCI to solve the issue in the BHIM app so that BHIM should be able to support this QR Code. But Most UPI apps support IFSC QR Code. So, you can right now enjoy the this easiest method of transferring money.
